A thirty year planning permission for an additional four (4) wind turbines to an existing fifteen (15) turbine windfarm. The proposed development will constitute the following: (a) the construction of four (4) wind turbines with hub heights of up to 92 metres with an overall height of up to 150 metres to blade tip. ; (b) the construction of crane hardstand areas located beside each turbine; (c) the construction of two (2) 20 kv substation buildings with associated electrical plant, equipment and security fences; (d) internal windfarm underground cabling; (e) the construction of new site access tracks and the provision of upgraded access roads; (f) installation of a drainage system for the proposed hardstand and road areas; (g) underground grid connection approximately five (5) km in length, predominantly along existing public road network; (h) all associated site development and ancillary works. The planning application is accompanied by an environmental impact assessment report (eiar) and by a natura impact statement in lieu of a thirty year planning permission for an additional six(6) wind turbines to an existing fifteen (15) turbine windfarm in the townlands of lackagh, tullynamoyle, gowlaun and altavra, killarga, county leitrim.
