Construct a new 650 pupil secondary school building (2-3 storeys) comprising teaching space (c. 3,101 sqm) administrative space (c. 362 sqm), physical education space (c. 1,126 sqm) ancillary area (c. 951 sqm) circulation space (c. 1448 sqm) and plant room/boiler house (c. 36 sqm) external ancillary buildings (c. 102sqm) including external storage, esb substation, off loader/meter room, 4 no. Hard play ball courts, improvement works to an existing playing pitch including the provision of new ball stop netting (c. 13m in height) 103 no. Car parking spaces 65 no. Covered bicycle parking spaces, car and bus drop off area, entrance totem signage and gates, viewing terrace, passive open space area, and outdoor seating areas. Proposed access arrangements include a primary vehicular and pedestrian /cyclist access via new "st. Mary's avenue" (accessed from sli ectra) and a pedestrian/cyclist connection via new st. Mary s boulevard (accessed from mcdermott street) which shall include the upgrade of the existing agricultural access point at this location. Permission also sought for extinguishment of existing vehicular access serving the adjacent parochial house at sli ectra and the provision of 2 no. New vehicular access points to service agricultrual land and the parochial house to the north and south of proposed new "st. Mary's avenue", all associated junction upgrade works at sli ectra and mcdermott street, bin storage, service yard, boundary treatment and landscape works, site services/connections and all associated development works
