The subject site is located within the westport house demesne and accordingly within the curtilage of protected structures. The development will consist of proposed upgrade works which extend from the access to the established car park at the coach house, linking to the walled garden, and on to hotel westport. The proposed works also include the relocation of the 2 no. Existing stone piers and gates (protected structure ref. 082) (previously relocated to their current location) on the boundary of hotel westport with the westport demesne, to a location 8.5 m further west along the existing road. This application will be accompanied by a natura impact statement (nis).
