Development description
Development will consist of the demolition of an existing garage and the provision of an anaerobic digestion facility with an intake of up to 50,000 tonnes of organic feedstock material per annum. The facility will comprise a waste reception building (incorporating workshop, control room and welfare facilities), 2 no. Digester tanks, 2 no. Digestate storage tanks, glycerine tank, buffer tank, pasteuriser tank, 4 no. Liquid reception tanks; all of the above tanks located within a fully bunded concrete area; associated biofilter, gas flare, biogas combined heat and power plant, internal access roads, weighbridge, truck loading area and soil deposition area. The proposed development will also include all associated site development, drainage and infrastructure works above and below ground. The maximum height of the proposed development is the chimney stack associated with the biofilter at c. 18m above ground level. The application relates to development which comprises or is for the purposes of an activity requiring an industrial emissions licence.
