S00a/0554; pl00s. 125554 and s00a/0554/ep) which included for the permission for a change of use of loreto abbey "georgian house" protected structure from the existing established institutional uses to a 102 number bedroom nursing home (8,471sqm); this included the change of use of lower ground floor of the chapel from ecclesiastical use to nursing home use, the remainder of the chapel was not affected by the permitted development and the addition of five extensions to the existing building (to accommodate the nursing home), comprising a new lobby, two number stairwells and a lift shaft, a three storey glazed link, and a second floor glazed extension, all totalling 653sqm. The modifications to the permitted development comprise
  • The provision of a new three storey extension (1,637sqm) to the north of the existing complex including removal of existing two storey corridor link between the georgian house and st. Annes building in lieu of previously approved entrance lobby and two sets of stairs and five separate extensions establishing a well functioning circulation link at each floor level between the georgian house, the st annes building and the gymnasium resulting in an increase of 11 bedrooms from the previously permitted 102 bedrooms to a total of 113 bedrooms
  • Revisions to the previously approved nursing home internal room layout in the georgian house, church, concert hall, gymnasium and building known as st annes to upgrade and improve the nursing home accommodation to bring it in line with currant and future industry best practice
