  • The location of the proposed compound will be east of the recently commissioned new outer ring road r136, cheeverstown n7 to n81 and the east of the existing screening bund, which follows the route of the outer ring road, in belgard quarry lands cheeverstown townland, and will be adjacent to, and will be accessed from, the new belgard quarry entrance road, off the above mentioned outer ring road. The compound will contain three no. 38kv 12 metre line termination masts and two no. Double wood portals. Lbfm switchgear will be installed at the top of the double wood portals. The proposed compund will measure 80 metres x 30 metres and will require the installation of a 2.4 metre high palisade fence, with gates for esb access. The 38kv overhead line switching compound will be required to facilitate undergrounding of a section of the grange castle-saggart/tee cheeverstown 38kv line, while still maintaining a 38kv switching facility for esb control of the circuit
