New 2 storey/part single storey extension to the existing single storey nursing care home to provide additional residential accommodation around two new landscaped courtyards with connections to the existing nursing home at ground floor only and requiring some minor alterations to the existing structures to facilitate the proposed new ground floor connections. The application provides for 30 new bedrooms on the ground floor with additional living space(s), nursing station(s), front reception, waiting area, associated office, meeting and physiotherapy rooms and oratory and all ancillary accommodation (laundry, storage, treatment rooms, lift, sluice rooms, toilets/cleaning rooms, plant and meter rooms. In addition the application also includes for proposed new accommodation at first floor level incorporating 33 new bedrooms and associated living space(s), nursing station(s), and all ancillary accommodation (laundry, treatment rooms, administration offices, sluice rooms, and associated toilets/cleaning rooms. The application also involves the demolition of 3 no. Existing detached houses on the site to allow for the provisions of new vehicular car park entrance with associated vision splays and the provision of 30 no. Parking spaces in a landscaped car park. It is also proposed to provide 1 new pedestrian access opposite the existing road entrance to forest hills and 1 further vehicular service access at the northern boundary of the site onto stoney lane. The associated site works will include substantial landscaping and the provision of a new stone clad boundary wall and railing to stoney lane.
