Development description
Construction of a new 270m long fixed timber jetty to facilitate 6 boats east of hazelhatch bridge. These will be fully serviced with lighting, water, electricity and access to boat pump-out and waste disposal facilities. These moorings will be classified as extended term services moorings and made available to appropriate permit holders. Upgrade and extension of the existing visitor mooring area on the quay wall along the north east side of hazelhatch bridge. This shall include cleaning and re-pointing to provide moorings for 4-5 transient boats visiting the area. This work will be in the curtilage of hazelhatch bridge a protected structure. Formalise an existing hard standing area used for parking to facilitate approximately 15 vehicles. The existing canal banks in the vicinity of the proposed works shall be refurbished and upgraded to address historical leakage problems with towpaths resurfaced.
