Temporary permission for a period of 4 years for development comprising the construction of a 2,900 space car park (initially the provision of 2,000 parking spaces is envisaged, increasing up to 2,900 as demand arises); site development and landscape works, including the provision of 7 bus shelters, bicycle parking facilities; 3 no. Single storey security huts together and 1 no. Single storey station welfare facility containing four toilets; the boundary of the car parking area will be fenced off, using a 2.4m high palidine fence; a galvanized barrier will also be erected to ensure that only authorised vehicles are permitted access; entrances off adamstown station road to the temporary car park is provided at 3 locations accessed via the existing and permitted roads systems in the immediate area (planning reg. Refs. Sdz06a/0005, sdz06a/0008, sdz06a/0009 and sdz06a/0011 refer. Following completion of the proposed development the use of the existing temporary car park will be discontinued and the lands will be available to be developed as the adamstown district centre. Permission is also sought for the completion of loop road no. 1 (previously permitted under reg. Ref. Sdz06a/0005 as a public road c. 957m long and 7m wide connecting the paddocks to adamstown station road with a 1.8m high temporary chain link fence along both sides of the road; footpaths, cyclepaths, grass verges and lighting columns are provided as part of this road. Permission is also sought for the construction of a new temporary road c. 6.5m wide and c. 640m long (including public lighting) to cater for buses only and connects dodsboro road with adamstown drive where it serves the paddocks; this road uses the alignment of loop road no. 2 that was previously permitted under reg. Refs. Sdz08a/0004 and sdz08a/0005; a 1.8m high temporary chain link fence encloses the road along both sides; the road is intended as a private road to serve buses only and so no footpaths, cyclepaths or lighting columns are proposed; all on lands of c. 11.1 ha bounded generally by adamstown avenue, dodsboro road and adamstown drive to the north, by adamstown station road to the south, by adamstown park (sdz06a/0005) to the east and the existing temporary park & ride to the west in the townlands of gollierstown and adamstown.
