The facility will include a single storey boathouse for the lifeboat. 2 supporting facilities block accommodation changing crew room workshop and office including single storey facility for the iwai, with a total gfa of 368sq. The application site is located within the lough ree (special protection areas)designated under the birds directive (2209) 147/ec and sca (special areas of conservation) designated under the habitats directive (2009/43/eec) .
