Expp: protected structure: (1) the existing flat roof, single storey structure with metal doors on either side of the chimney is to be partially demolished; the structure containing one room to the south and east of the chimney is proposed to be removed, while the structure containing the other to the north between the chimney and the boiler house is to be retained, made good, and secured. Care is to be taken not to damage the existing chimney during the proposed works. (2) newly exposed brickwork of the chimney is to be made good with minor conservation works, and any newly exposed blockwork is to be rendered.
