Development description

Expp: we seek confirmation from the planning authority that the ‘pedestrian gateway’ detailed in this section 5 referral is or is not development or is or is not exempted development. The question to be determined in respect of the subject element may be described as follows: whether the addition of a pedestrian gateway (max height 1950cm) to an existing boundary wall ( max height 2350cm) at the rear of a residential property fronting onto a mews/service lane is or is not development or is or is not exempted development within the meaning of the act? The proposed development shall incorporate a new pedestrian access gate to provide a direct link to grosvenor lane to the rear of the property. The pedestrian link is sought to provide a more direct pedestrian link to the amenities of harolds cross, rathmines village and terenure village. The proposed is to promote travelling on foot to offset vehicle trips when considering the distance the existing development access point of leinster park at harolds cross road.
