The development will consist of the demolition and reinstatement of exisiting hotel floorspace (c. 75 sqm) at ground, first and second floor levels to the south-east of the existing building and the construction of a part 5 storey hotel extension (max. Height c. 17m to top of plant) measuring c. 3,901 sqm located to the south-east of the existing hotel, comprising 112 no. Hotel bedrooms, an ancillary dining/lounge area, staff and guest amenities, storerooms, circulation areas and lift access. The proposed development will result in a total of 212 no.
