- Part 9 planning and development regulations 2001 si. 600/2001 the commissioners of public works in ireland in accordance with the provisions of part 9, planning and development regulations 2001 (as amended), propose to carry out works at an garda siochána, swords garda station, main street/malahide road, swords, co. Dublin, eircode k67 rf70. The proposed development will include the for the following
- Removal of the existing temporary hoarding & its associated ballast blocks to northeast & northwest boundaries of the existing site & for removal of existing rendered masonry wall & associated surmounted decorated iron railing to northwest (malahide road) & for replacing same with permanent boundary treatment comprising decorative railings & capped masonry walls & piers extending for the full extent of the north western (malahide road) site boundary together with all associated above & below ground service & site development/reinstatement works
- Provision of recessed vehicular site entrance onto the malahide road at location of existing vehicular entrance, provision of access controlled automated entrance gate to match decorative railings
- Resurfacing of the existing carparking area to northeast of existing garda station building, installation of on-curtilage secure sheltered garda bicycle store, cctv, site/carpark lighting installation
- Reconfiguration of on-curtilage visitor parking to front (main street) to include for a designated car parking space & reconfigured universal access ramp, reconfiguration of existing public reception entrance doorway to provide for universal accessibility. Regrading/resurfacing of on-curtilage paved forecourt area & redressing of existing brick planters to front of garda station building (main street). A desktop appropriate assessment screening was undertaken for the proposed development. It concluded that there will be no likely significant effects on any natura 2000 sites, either alone or in combination with, any other plans or project. A preliminary examination for environmental impact assessment was undertaken for the proposed development. It concluded that having regard to the nature, scale and location of the proposed project, ela screening is not required. Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to an bord pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment. The preliminary examination for environmental impact assessment conclusion can be viewed on the office of public works website at https://www. Gov. Ie/en/collection/8218f-office-of-public-works-part-9-eia/ drawings and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection by appointment only and with two working days' notice, between 10am and 12.30pm and between 2.30pm and 4.00pm, monday to friday during a six-week period beginning on the date of publication of this notice at: the office of public works, property maintenance services, head office, jonathan swift street, trim, co.
