• This existing garda lantern, repurposed from 44-45 upper o connell street which was previously in use as a garda station, will be fixed back to the existing reconstituted stone panel fascia. This proposal relates to a previous part 9 planning permission (dcc reference no. 3732/22, april 2022) granted for change of use of the ground floor unit to accommodate a new use by an garda siochana. Other than the installation of the garda lantern, there are no additional works proposed that have not been previously granted under the previous application. A desktop appropriate assessment screening was undertaken for the proposed development. It concluded that there will be no likely significant effects on any natura 2000 sites, either alone or in combination with, any other plans or projects. A preliminary examination for environmental impact assessment was undertaken for the proposed development. It concluded that having regard to the nature, scale and location of the proposed project, eia screening is not required. Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to an bord pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.
