Development description
Local equipped area for play (leap), constructed in line with the principles of universal design, to include: i. A mixture of synthetic and natural materials as surfacing which will vary from engineered woodchip to gravel paths and water permeable safety surfacing, as listed on the landscape plans. Ii. 5 no. Bicycle parking spaces will be included using sheffield type bicycle stands will be located adjacent to the play space entrance plaza. Iii. Approximately 15 no. Pieces of play equipment will be installed within the site boundary. Iv. An area for sand play will be included. V. Climbing, balance and swinging play equipment will be included. Vi. There will be no need for stormwater to leave the site as all surfaces will be permeable negating the need for additional surface run off to localised stormwater network. Vii. Approximately 60 no. Hedging plants and 6 no. Trees will be planted as part of the development, additionally; 2 no. Trees will be relocated during project. Viii. 1 no. Wheelchair accessible parking space will be provided on site. Ix. 1 no. Uncontrolled pedestrian crossing. X. Approximately 70m new pathway with bollards. Xi. Street furniture will include seating.
