- The permission is sought for the temporary use of these lands as a park and ride facility for the period 19th
- 24th september 2006 to facilitate the ryder cup golf competition to be held at the k club, straffan, co. Kildare. The temporary use of the lands for park and ride will involve use of grassed areas to accomodate parking, temporary use of existing aerodrome entrance, temporary use of secondary entrance to westonpark house north of blackweston farm, temporary opening of 4no. Former agricultural access points and existing emergency access between main aerodrome entrance and cooldrinagh lane onto the r403 celbridge road, laying of temporary "trakway" for feeder buses ferrying spectarors to the ryder cup event at the k-club, erection of temporary mobile lighting, temporary fencing, temporary port-a-loo and other associated facilities (including 2no. Temporary tent structures for administrative and security). Reinstatement of the lands and associated entrances onto the r403 to their existing condidtion is proposed following the ryder cup. Westonpark house is a protected structure. A separate application is being submitted to kildare county council for that part of the park and ride facility within the kildare county council administrative area
