Development description

To complete the extent of the extraction area of the clay pit previously permitted under reg. Ref. 00/1655. The extent of this un-extracted area is c. 3.25ha. The clay pit is sought to a maximum depth of c. 14 metres od. It is proposed to extract the material from this area in accordance with the previous permission (reg. Ref. 00/1655) with an output rate of 50,000 tonnes per annum. Progressive restoration of the quarry void will also occur in line with the previous permission. The proposed development includes all ancillary site development, areas of stockpiling, landscaping and boundary treatment works above and below ground, including the restoration of the final pit void (extractive area). An environmental impact statement (eis) will be submitted to the planning authority with the application. The site forms part of the epa industrials emissions licence (reg. Ref. P0-528-01)
