Amendments to 15/1164. Permission for the following amendments which is for a small scale craft whiskey distillery and visitors centre for the production by powerscourt distillery ltd of alcohol for premium brand whiskey and gin is sought and will comprise: provision of boiler house plant room with overhead accommodation to rear of previously permitted development, construction of new shed to accommodate the relocated water treatment plant, increase in the overall usable floor area with a small increase in the building footprint, provisio of two tasting rooms at mezzanine level internally, provision of whiskey academy and offices at top floor level, changes to all elevations, changes to the roof profile to provide additional clear height internally to the production area without increasing the ridge height permitted, demolition of existing single storey sheds and water treatment plant to the rear of the permitted development to create a yard to the rear of the production area, location in the proposed yard of one stainles steel effluent tank and bund and one galvanised steel spent grains store, provision of two cooling towers located in the rear yard, provision of an underground propane fuel storage tank, an increase in the previously outlined development site area to accommodate the proposed changes. No changes to the previously permitted uses, production values, effluent values, discharge values, drainage requirements, traffic volumes are proposed. No changes to the existing stone buildings which form part of the development beyond those previously permitted are proposed (protected structure)
